Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all purchases of Screenberry software made directly through our website www.screenberry.com. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

1. Digital Products – No Automatic Right to Cancel After Download

Our software is delivered as a digital download. Under consumer protection laws (including the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and the EU Consumer Rights Directive), you lose your right to cancel once:

  • you have started downloading or activating the software; and
  • you have agreed to this during checkout by ticking the confirmation box.

We may still issue a refund in limited cases (see Section 2).

2. Refund Eligibility

We will issue a full refund if:

  • the software you received is defective, unusable, or not as described; and
  • you contact us within 14 calendar days of purchase; and
  • you provide sufficient details for us to verify the issue (e.g., screenshots, error messages).

Refunds will not be granted if:

  • you change your mind after downloading or activating the software;
  • the software functions as described;
  • your device does not meet the stated system requirements;
  • the inability to use the software is due to operator error;
  • refund abuse, license misuse, or fraudulent activity is suspected (e.g., excessive refund requests or attempts to retain and use the product after a refund has been issued);
  • the refund request relates to price differences during special sales or promotions (discounts cannot be applied retroactively).

3. Cancellation Before Download

If you have not yet downloaded or activated the software, you may cancel your order within 14 calendar days of purchase for a full refund.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  • Email refunds@screenberry.com with your order number, proof of purchase, and a description of the issue.
  • If applicable, include screenshots, error logs, or any relevant evidence.
  • We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and aim to process valid refunds within 14 days of approval.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

5. Subscription Services

If you purchase a subscription:

  • You can cancel anytime before the next billing date to avoid further charges.
  • We do not provide partial refunds for unused subscription periods.

6. Additional Paddle Terms

  • Chargebacks & Disputes: Please contact us before opening a dispute with your payment provider. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may result in account restrictions or additional fees.
  • VAT & Tax Refunds: If you qualify for VAT or tax exemption, please contact Paddle within 60 days and provide the required documentation.
  • Merchant of Record: Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record for all transactions. Screenberry Ltd is responsible for product support and refund decisions under this policy.

7. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights, which may vary by country.
